Byrd

Description
Byrds are Act II monsters who begin each battle with a Flying buff, which makes them take only half damage until they are hit a certain number of times in a single turn. They deal modest damage but can become much more dangerous if you let them build up Image Strength. Fighting them well means balancing multi‑hit attacks, status effects, and good timing to force their Flying buff to fall.
HP: 25‑31 / 26‑33 (Ascension 7+)
Abilities
Tips
- Multi‑hit or low‑damage attacks are very useful to break Flying quickly.
- Image Thorns and strength reduction help greatly, since Byrds scale off Image Strength.
- When a Byrd is buffing its Image Strength, try to knock it out or stun it soon so its next turn isn't much more dangerous.

Trivia
Byrd begins with a Flying buff; on Ascension 17+ the Flying buff requires 4 hits in a single turn rather than 3. Its name is a wordplay on “bird.” :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
